Pizza @ Peri benefiting Hope for Tomorrow!

A portion of all pizza and beverage sales will be donated back to Hope for Tomorrow.

SVCM’s Hope for Tomorrow ministry is a transformational housing program for single mothers and their children who are currently experiencing or at risk of homelessness. At our campus in Black Mountain, we offer these vulnerable families safe, affordable, transitional housing and intensive support services for up to 18 months. We’re currently able to accommodate mothers accompanied by up to two children ages 0-19.

At Hope for Tomorrow, our goal is to support participating moms while they build the skills and resources necessary to attain permanent housing, adequate income, and a savings plan - while growing their sense of self-worth and well-being. Participants have access to many services including: case management, career counseling, financial planning, educational workshops, child enrichment, mental health counseling, basic medical care and social activities. During their residency, mothers are also invited to take advantage of our savings match plan. Thanks to a generous grant, up to $2,000 that they save will be matched dollar-for-dollar - for a potential total value of $4,000.

At SVCM, the heart of all our services is to affirm every person’s inherent dignity and worth.

Six Teas / One Plant

Join Chinese Medicine Practitioner and tea anthropologist Revy Schoen on a journey through the six types of tea. Together we'll sip three different loose-leaf teas and explore the following question: If white, green, yellow, oolong, black, & aged teas are all made from the same plant, how are they all so completely different? Teas are included in the ticket price and served in a meditative Chinese style. This class is meant to inspire & engage, so come curious! Spots are very limited!

Admission: $15
