The Valley Coffee Crawl
Ready to sip your way around the valley?
Join our Coffee Crawl! Pick up your coffee passport, visit participating Chamber member coffee shops for a week, and collect a stamp/signature at each stop along the way. You’ll have one week to complete your crawl, and once you do, share your coffee adventure on social media and tag us for a chance to win a prize!
Whether you're a regular at your favorite local spot or looking to discover a new go-to, this is the perfect excuse to grab a cup and explore our local coffee scene.
The passports will be available in the Black Mountain Visitor Center starting next week. The crawl starts on Monday, November 2nd. Happy sipping!

Homecide in the Hotel
HOMICIDE IN THE HOTEL
A 1940s Post-War Murder Mystery Event
Halloween Night, Saturday, October 31 @ 7:00-10:00 PM
Step back into the glamor of post-war America at “Homicide in the Hotel”, an immersive murder mystery set during the 1940s.
Guests will gather at Peri Social House, transformed for the evening into the site of a celebration. The brave soldiers who fought for our freedom are back at home, but it won’t be long before everyone at the party is subject to one more tragedy—this time a little too close to home.
As the party unfolds, grief will mix with suspicion and long-held secrets will finally see the light of day. Participants will engage with a cast of characters who knew the deceased well, each with their own motives to conceal. As secrets are revealed, guests must follow the trail of evidence, uncover hidden clues, and piece together the truth. Shocking revelations will cast suspicion on all present, and the truth of an untimely death must be uncovered before the clock runs out.
For those wishing to fully embrace the atmosphere, party attire of the 1940s is encouraged, though not required. A cash bar will be available throughout the evening, offering a fitting toast to the mysteries of the past. A “welcome” champagne and light hors d’oeuvres are included with your ticket.
WHERE: Peri Social House, 406 W State St, Black Mountain, North Carolina 28711
WHEN: Saturday, October 31 @ 7:00–10:00 PM
DRESS CODE: 1940s Post-War Glam

EVERYWHERE I GO Book Signing with Live Music - Open to the Public
Exact Time TBD.
Everywhere I Go is a coming-of-age memoir that follows two parallel timelines: One spans the decade of Ahna Ell's 20s, as she falls in love and tours the country in a communal folk band. The journey of Ahna and these earnest idealists sees them through mundane jobs, pull-over-our-song-is-on-the-radio screaming celebrations, sold-out shows, natural disasters, and natural drifts. From the back bench of a 15-passenger van, Ahna determinedly leans into reality as it confronts her hopes and ideals, until she must discover if they can entwine at all.
Readers will get to know Ahna as earnest, full of wanderlust, and constantly gleaning messages from her experiences. Everywhere I Go is a spiritual, musical, agrarian, adventurous tale, as it traces one young poet’s wandering and homecoming through her unflinching embrace of every ending—and the enduring love that shapes her belonging.
Ahna is bringing her special guest Alex Franks of Riversong (**the well-known Asheville-based Band**) for an acoustic performance
Please join us to celebrate these two special artists!
